Croda’s healthy skin ingredient comes in topical and edible forms

Beauty supplements and topical products are the target of ingredients supplier Croda’s ‘holistic’ approach to skin care.

The company recently launched a combination of essential fatty acids and omega 3, 6 and 9, called Revitalix along with its edible version Revitalix Nutra.

While Revitalix Nutra fits perfectly with the beauty from within trend tipped for significant growth, the grey areas in EFSA’s health claims regulation have led the company to concentrate on marketing the topical ingredient first.

According to Croda’s application scientist Bhaven Chavan, the Revitalix topical ingredient can help decrease wrinkle depth and smooth skin, as well as having anti-inflammatory properties, and the ability to help protect the skin from daily insults from microbiological pathogens.
