CosmeticBusiness 2010: Exhibitors List Announced

The International Trade Fair, CosmeticBusiness 2010, will be showing for its seventh year in Munich, from the 17-18th June. With regular attendees Avon, Wella and L’Oreal, the organisers were keen to emphasise the way in which the event brings together ‘big players’ and smaller companies under one roof.

The trade show is the only exclusive b2b cosmetics fair in Germany. This year, the main exhibiting categories are: raw materials, manufacturing/filling, packaging and services.

‘All-encompassing’ programme

Recent cosmetics trade fairs such as Beyond Beauty, which takes place every year in September, have tended to focus upon a particular theme for presentation. Of late, many have used their lectures programme and awards to recognise key trends, such as the rise of the organic and natural sector.

However, Frank Richter, Managing Director of CosmeticBusiness, told CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com that there would be no specific theme at Munich and that the event would be ‘all encompassing’. The lectures programme will be announced in the next couple of weeks.

According to CosmeticBusiness, its previous trade fairs have been attended by professional trade visitors and key decision makers from over 40 countries.

The majority of exhibitors confirmed so far are German based companies, but also includes many from Italy, such as Ramaplast, as well as strong representation from elsewhere in Europe. Stull Technologies and Hewlett Packard from the USA are also confirmed to be at the show this year.

B2b trade fair

Like other trade fairs, the organisers stress the opportunity it provides companies both in exhibiting their product, getting orders, and liaising with key players in an increasingly dynamic market. However, Richter said that he did not like to compare CosmeticBusiness to other trade shows. “We are a clear and exclusive b2b trade fair,” he said.

In addition, he stated that since In-Cosmetics, the major trade show which takes place in Paris this week, is dedicated to the raw material sector, they are not a direct competitor. Cosmetics Design will be bringing you news directly from the In-Cosmetics show all of this week.
