The event will take place at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, in Paris, 9- 10 March and is expected to attract around 800 targeted industry players working in this niche area, organisers Orlex Communications say.
The event will feature a salon hall boasting around 50 stands with some of the segment’s key industry players, giving them the opportunity to platform latest technologies and innovations.
A crucial part of the focus will be devoted to the conference programme, which will feature workshop discussion forums and design and technology presentations, as well as the Aerosol Awards 2009.
Conference programme
The conference programme will start on the morning of 9 March with a workshop entitled ‘Innovation Workshop : Aerosol 2020’, which will be chaired by Michel Fontaine, packaging director at L’Oreal.
Three key presentation in the workshop will include: ‘A world without aerosols’, ‘Green aerosols’, and ‘Let’s eat aerosols’ a segment that will mainly focus on innovations for the food industry.
Also of interest to personal care professionals will be a series of lectures focusing on design and sustainable development, which will be chaired by Charles Duclaux, also from L’Oreal and will feature presentations from companies including ITW Spraytec and Tubex.
The 2009 Aersols Awards
On 10 March, the conference programme will begin with a series of presentations around the theme of aerosols in the health sector, which will involve key players such as Rexam, Inventec Fine Chemicals and the Pfeiffer group.
The conference programme will then be given over to the awards ceremony, which will be used as a platform to single out the most innovative aerosol and dispensing systems to have been launched in 2009.
The conference programme will be rounded off by a session chaired by Pierre Goffinet, IRFAQ, which will centre on the theme of the art of spray and prospects for the aerosol industry.
