A tottle is the upside down bottle with the cap at the base often used for conditioners in the shampoo and conditioner ranges.
Although the bottles can be used separately, Vicki John marketing manager for the company explained that they are particularly suited for use as a pair.
“There is a growing trend to have the bottle and tottle together and of the same shape for a shampoo and conditioner range,” she told CosmeticsDesign.
In addition, she explained that the Adagio range not only has an attractive shape but is also easy to grip.
This is due to the shape and size but also the material, John said.
HDPE has been used for the Adagio bottles and tottles, which has a more matt finish making it easier to hold particularly for use in the shower. The less glossy finish also gives it a more premium feel, according to the company.
Larger sizes
Both tottle and bottle have 400ml capacities, which also answers the growing demand for larger sizes for shampoos and conditioners, according to John.
Both are customisable in that they can be provided in any colour to meet the specifications of the customer, as well as being compatible with a number of decorative techniques.
John explained that designs can be printed both on the bottle itself and onto labels that can be applied by M&H Plastics. In addition, foil blocking can also be used to add a company logo or type to the design to give a more luxury look.
