Oriflame co-founder divests shares

The co-founder of Swedish direct selling beauty company Oriflame, Jonas af Jochnick, has divested 1,000,000 shares in the company to finance other investments.

He said in a statement that the sale of shares would facilitate the future development of companies in which he is a majority shareholder; primarily the health care company Medicover and the private equity firm Oresa Ventures.

The remaining interest of Jonas and family in Oriflame Cosmetics amounts to just over 4 million shares, which corresponds to approximately 7.2 per cent of the votes and capital.

The company recently announced it had acquired a €400 million loan to refinance two loans; one of €375 million and another of €160 million.
