Azelis and S Black re-organize to focus on international opportunities

Speciality chemicals distributor Azelis has created a new managing director role for UK operations, freeing up a separate role to look at international business growth.

Joan Traynor will become the managing director of all Azelis UK operations, which include Chance & Hunt plus Brown and Gillmer, S. Black UK and Broste UK.

This will allow Neil Berry, who has been both the managing director of S. Black as well as international business director for Azelis personal care, to focus solely on international business development.

The significant growth opportunities within the personal care sector across Europe mean that Neil Berry needs to be focusing one hundred percent on international business development, according to the company.

“By maximising synergies and leveraging our strengths it is my aim to enhance our position as the premier distributor of innovative ingredients for personal care,” he said.

Focusing on growth in Europe

Primarily Neil Berry will be looking to fill in the gaps in the company’s personal care portfolio and gain further access to countries where there is currently little representation, explained company spokesperson Gillian Berry.

“Within Europe Neil Berry will focus on gaining supplier mandates where there are currently gaps in the personal care portfolio and will also be looking to extend existing mandates across multi-European territories.”

Joan Traynor has been the managing director of Chance and Hunt since 2005, and will now be managing the combined UK organisation.

According to the company this re-organisation will allow Azelis’ operations to achieve its significant growth targets.

“The new management changes will help achieve growth targets as more focus will be given to do this,” said Gillian Berry.
