The new GalSorb sunscreen range is chemically organic – not to be confused with the term used for organically certified agricultural products - and includes the products Benzophenone-3, Benzophenone-4, Avobenzone, OMC and Octocrylene.
The company claims that using organic sunscreens in combination with titanium dioxide can help develop effective and safe high SPF, broad spectrum UV protection for a range of sunscreen products as well as daily wear products such as facial moisturizers.
Developing the Tri-K sunscreen portfolio
The move serves as an important development in Tri-K's sunscreen offering and helps to develop its position as one of the world’s biggest suppliers of titanium dioxide powder ingredients.
In the US the company offers SPF boosting formulations, a host of sunscreens - some of which are based on nanotechnology, a self tanning formulation and two waterproofing agents.
As well as sun care products, Tri-K also manufacturers and distributes a range of skin care and hair care formulations, which are sold on a global basis.
Developing Latin American distribution
As part of its focus on developing markets, the company recently announced that it was upping its distribution in a host of Latin American markets.
New distribution agreements were forged with seven companies, which include: Biosix,- Argentina , Quimiza – Bolivia, MP Chemicals - Central America, Alchem - Chile , Mercaquimicos – Ecuador, Enzur – Uruguay and Distribuidora Prosequim – Venezuela.
