The powder atomizer is designed to be used with loose powder for the face and body. Powder is very popular with American consumers, according to the French agent for the company Sofadis, suggesting that the product will be popular with the US market.
According to René Karla, head of Karla Innovations, “using a bulb atomizer to apply powder allows for a more elegant “gesture” than by simply using powder puffs or sponges”.
Karla Innovations said it was aware of at least one other powder atomizer on the market, but claim its atomizer operates with a simpler mechanism.
Leak-proof perfume atomizer
The unique design of the leak-proof perfume atomizer bulb, which was developed in response to strong consumer demand, means that there is no longer the need for a separate screw cap to be used during transport.
“With traditional bulb atomizers it has always been necessary to use a separate screw cap as a closure during transport of fragrance filled bottles, and the consumer had to unscrew the cap and then screw the bulb atomizer onto the bottle” Karla said.
The bulb has a moveable head that can be turned from an ‘off’ to an ‘on’ position. In the ‘off’ position, the flow of air and liquid through the atomizer system is cut off and the filled bottle can be transported without any risk of leakage.
Karla added that, although several companies have tried over the years to come up with similar solutions, to his knowledge the leak-proof atomizer by Karla Innovations is the only solution ready for mass production.
