Reed exhibitions is calling on the cosmetics and personal care industry to nominate leading figures with outstanding performances for the award, which ties in with the 20th anniversary of the event.
The award will run alongside the established C&T International Technology Awards, which has been transferred from the Health and Beauty America event to the in-cosmetics show this year.
Search is on for nominations
The show organisers say they have already had a host of high calibre and very interesting nominations for the award, but are welcoming further applications.
“The winner will be decided by public vote, so by launching this new Lifetime Achievement Award, we are offering the industry a platform to recognise an individual who has led and inspired those around them throughout their career and is a shining example of why this industry is still strong and growing year-on-year,” said Lucy Gillam, exhibition director.
Reed says that it will leave the nominations open until January 15, 2010, after which the six principle nominees will be publicly announced on January 25.
Online voting open to all
The vote will then go public, with individuals from throughout the industry being invited to cast their votes online until March 31, 2010.
The winner will then be announced at an awards ceremony that will take place at the show on April 14.
In-Cosmetics will open its door at a new venue, Porte de Versailles, in central Paris and will run from April 13 for a total of three consecutive days.
Nominations for individuals are currently open and can be made online by clicking here.
