French Cosmetics Day extends entente cordiale

The French Embassy in London is holding a trade event for French cosmetics manufacturers seeking closer commercial ties with the United Kingdom.

To be held on 4 February at the London Marriot County Hall Hotel, French Cosmetics Day aims to bring together French cosmetic producers with British importers, wholesalers and retailers.

The networking event is organised by the French Trade Commission in London and includes conferences and meetings.

Highlights of Conference programme

The conference programme takes place in the morning and includes an overview of the UK beauty market and specialist talks on organic and natural cosmetics in the UK and distribution in the professional beauty market.

The conference session also features two talks on the legal and regulatory aspects of selling cosmetics in the UK.

French companies attending the event

The French companies due to attend are listed below:

  • Biologique Recherche: A manufacturer of skin care products containing botanical, marine and biological extracts.
  • Charme d’Orient: A specialist in designing and distributing Oriental cosmetic products including hair-removal wax and massage oil as well as body- and facial-care products.
  • OcéAnge: An anti-aging specialist with two wrinkle fighting lines containing marine ingredients such as seaweed and caviar.
  • Laboratoires d’Armor: A private label manufacturer of hygienic and cosmetic products containing marine ingredients.
  • Copines: An independent make-up brand which aims to offer consumers a high-value fashionable brand at a low price.
  • Home Institut Paris: A manufacturer and designer of own brand cosmetics and toiletries for the face, body and hair.
  • DKZ France Créations: A specialist in the development of natural products made from ingredients such as olives, roses and marine resources.
  • Codina: A manufacturer of oils and pure body butters with 30 years of experience in raw oilseed products.
  • Elaÿs: A producer of facial and body skincare products made with natural ingredients, one of them being the vines of Champagne.
  • SD Group: A manufacturer of a wide range of professional cosmetics for the face and body, in addition to a range of food supplements.

The Trade Commission of the French Embassy in London promotes trade development between France and the UK. The Consumer Goods Department regularly organises B2B events, such as the French Cosmetics Day, in the form of conferences and networking opportunities, mainly in London.
