This year the top ‘coup de coeur’ award went to an innovative new comer, Aïny, for a range of skin care products produced from active extracts sourced in the rainforests of Peru and Ecuador.
CosmeticsDesign.com spoke to company founder, Daniel Joutard, who explained that the project was the culmination of six years hard work to source the ingredients and put the skin care range together.
“We have taken a unique approach in the development of this skin care range, incorporating local knowledge and know-how to source the most effective natural ingredients from indigenous people in Latin America,” said Joutard
Unique active ingredients
The range includes extracts from the Sacha Inchi, Achiote Ungurahua and Tree of Life plants, of which the latter two are claimed to have been incorporated into cosmetic products for the first time ever
The panel of judges, which included an international jury of 40 highly experienced industry professionals, said they were impressed by the uniqueness of the new range and the fact that it incorporates such unique ingredients.
Aïny also comes with four certification endorsements, including One Voice and Ecocert certification, underlining the hard work that the company has undertaken to ensure the line meets with the leading industry standards.
