Beyond Beauty readies to open its doors
Providing what the organisers have termed ‘a 360° view of the beauty and wellness industries’, the event is now in its sixth year, having become a major platform for the French and international businesses involved in this fast-moving area.
The four day show will focus on key trends and industry categories, including the ever-popular natural and organic cosmetics and related certification issues, the development of the spa industry as well as increasing convergence between the food and cosmetic industries.
Creative section
A featured innovation for this year’s event is the Creative section, an area that has been designed to help visitors looking to create or develop a cosmetics range of their own.
This part of the show brings together all the elements of cosmetics development and manufacturing, including sub-contracting, packaging, design and POS displays, by featuring stands from some of the leading players in each of these areas.
One core focus of the Creative section will be private label, which the show organisers say will feature over 100 companies offering turnkey solutions to brands and distributors in all areas of personal care, including hygiene, skin care and make-up.
All aspects of packaging
To this end, Creative will feature every aspect of private label manufacturing, from conceptualization to production, which in turn will clue in on related issues, including recyclable and organic packaging, as well as categories such as glass, carton, labels, decorations and finishings.
The show will also see the return of the Zoom section, which will be used to platform around 50 of the most creative and innovative brands currently surfacing in the market.
The best innovations in the Zoom space will be recognized by a panel of judges for the Beauty Industry Awards 2008, the winners of which will be announced on October 6.
Packaging and natural cosmetics summits
The show will also feature two major conferences – the Cosmetic Pack Summit on 8 October and the Natural Beauty Summit Europe on Ocotber 8th and 9th.
The Cosmetic Pack Summit will feature key topics relating to the packaging segment, including sustainabile, natural and eco-friendly packaging, while the Natural Beauty Summit will focus on key issues such as ingredients sourcing, certification and marketing for natural and organic cosmetic products.
