Once a packaging orientated trade show, HBA Global Expo now covers all aspects of the beauty and well-being industries with exhibitors from all corners of the globe.
Between September 9 and 11, the Javits Center in New York will play host to the show, which is now in its 16th year.
Keynote speach
Opening proceedings will be a keynote speech from anti-aging expert Nicholas Perricone who will discuss the relationship between inflammation and anti-ageing.
The beauty author and founder of N.V. Perricone will discuss how nutritional supplements and topical anti-oxidants can control inflammation and therefore help fight the signs of aging.
Perricone will then be followed by 200 other speakers who have been invited to share their insights and discoveries relating to various aspects of the cosmetics industry.
Speakers will be grouped together in separate conferences; the marketing program, the technical program and the naturals program.
Beauty education
The educational program will go beyond conferences with in-depth workshops on particularly pertinent issues including skin absorption and REACH regulations.
There will also be a regulatory, safety and certification summit featuring experts from government, toxicology and law to talk about the impact of the changing regulatory landscape. Labeling of organics, beauty foods and global developments will all be discussed.
Other highlights of this year’s HBA Global Expo include a special focus on fragrances with speakers covering everything from business strategy to formulation.
Looking at some of the most exciting products on the market will be the New Product Innovations Showcase and “The Best in Beauty” Industry Awards Dinner.
As part of the New Product Innovations Showcase, market research firm Mintel is organizing product sampling sessions for the first time to help inspire more innovation.
“For beauty and personal care industry professionals seeking new products, information, partners, services and materials, HBA Global Expo makes it easy. For the next 3 days, you’ll have the chance to see, touch, taste, and smell the products as well as meet the people face-to-face and learn from industry experts, who will help bring your products to market,” said Jill Birkett, HBA Global Expo’s Event Director. “It doesn’t get any better than that.”
