Alban Muller launches green consultancy

Alban Muller has launched a consultancy service to help others design and produce natural and eco-friendly products.

Building on its experience marketing green and natural ingredients, Alban Muller is offering assistance to companies working in cosmetics, food and herbal medicines.

The service will be offered globally to companies operating at different stages of the production line including both ingredients suppliers and finished product manufacturers.

Alban Muller will help out with everything from selecting raw materials to choosing packaging materials. It will look particularly closely at how companies can formulate and manufacture their products so as to minimize their environmental impact.

The France-based firm has made green manufacturing and ethical sourcing a top priority in recent years.

Its manufacturing site in the Cosmetic Valley in France obtained the ISO 14 001 environmental certification in 2004 for the attention its pays to biodiversity, water consumption and waste management.

This holistic approach is important in the path to becoming green.

“We cannot limit ourselves to the means of obtaining certain ingredients: we must deal with this subject more globally and explore each of the elements in manufacturing a product” said Alban Muller, president of the Alban Muller Group.

Alban Mullar is launching its consultancy service at a time when many natural and organic manufacturers are working to reduce their environmental footprint.

“The current success experienced by ‘organics’ only reveals the desire consumers have to adopt environment-friendly habits in their lives,” added Alban Muller.

The company remains focused on its own ingredients business and has only last week extended one of its cosmetics ranges.

It launched 29 new active ingredients for the natural beauty market with "super fruits" at the heart of the offerings.

The ingredients join the Phytami range and are made up of fruit and flower extracts including fig, sour cherry, mango, juniper and milk thistle.
