France-based Kemesys has adapted its experience in the
semi-conductor industry to the development of ultra pure water for
the cosmetics industry.

The company has drawn on its know-how in industrial chemicals to produce extremely pure water which it says minimises allergy risk and protects sensitive skin.

Development of own cosmetics range Using its water the company has created its own range of natural cosmetics under the brand Aixalla.

Bringing together its own experts in the field of chemical mixing and nanopowder dispersion with specialists in cosmetics formulation, Kemesys has created a cosmetics line targeted at consumers seeking purity, exoticism and minerals.

As well as tapping into the trend for well-being with its mineral ingredients and pure water the products appeal to the growing demand for exotic ingredients.

Containing tropical fruits such as kiwi, mango and coconut the range is formulated for consumers who wish to be taken away to distant shores from the security of their own bathroom.

Kemesys said the natural products will receive certification from Ecocert in mid 2008 and are already developed in accordance with its specifications.

Contract manufacturing and services

In addition to its own products, the company operates as a contract manufacturer working from formulation and testing through to product production and packaging.

It also offers consultancy services in marketing, packaging, raw materials intelligence and regulations.

The specification of Kemesys' high purity water, which is developed through a 3 steps ultra purification process, is as follows:

Resistivity > 18M.cm at T=20°C Na+ <

800ppb K+ < 200ppb Mg2+ < 50ppb Organic components < 0.600ppm Conductivity < 0.080 µ S/cm Bacteriologically pure Neutral pH
