In particular the move is expected to develop the company's position in the fast-growing area of business-to-business website coverage for the beauty industry. Web-based content set for development "Joining Reed Business Information presents a unique opportunity for Cosmedias, whereby the leading titles in their markets will be able to benefit by focusing on a web-based strategy for the development of future content," said Hubert Ziezeniss, founder and director of Cosmedias. Cosmedias publishes the web-based CosmeticNews, a leading beauty business title that covers news and feature article mainly aimed at French and European aspects of the business. The business information provider was formed in 1991, specifically to provide key information for decision makers in the beauty industry. Targeted news for industry professionals Its newsletters, magazines and websites are targeted at key executives, R&D professionals, processing engineers as well as those involved in sales and marketing. Antoine Duarte, president of Reed Business IInformation France, said that the acquisition of Cosmedias represented a big step for the company, allowing it to "develop its portfolio of market-leading products aimed at professionals". Duarte added his belief that Reed would also be able to add value to the Cosmedias business thanks to its well established and extensive multi-channel distribution system.
