The 'Mixed Kit For a Perfect Date' range consists of three products that focus on 'kindling mutual desire' for both the male and female consumer and is made from plant extract formulations.
Presenting at the In-Cosmetics show in Paris next month, the companies have drawn on the influence of the In-Focus subject, stating that the use of aphrodisiac substances has been going on for centuries with consumers constantly searching for different ways to heighten sexual desire through cosmetic and personal care products.
Greentech, based in France, extracted plant complexes that are thought to have aphrodisiac virtues and, with Strand Cosmetics's manufacturing expertise, have created three original formulation 'love potions' that are said to take both the man and woman through the entire date process.
The 'Velvet Skin' product is a toning after shave balm made from three species of Ginseng, Korean, American and Siberian and is said to leave the man feeling revitalised thanks to a 3G complex that stimulates and harmonizes the skin.
Drawing on the connotation that fuller lips portray a 'sexier' image, the 'Hot Lips' lipstick is made up of a pulp complex of muira puama and damiana extracts that have vasodilator virtues, which increase the lip size and give female consumers a fuller pout.
Sticking to the sensual theme, the company also enriched the lipstick with pomegranate oil - a fruit fittingly associated with the voluptuous Goddess of Love, Aphrodite.
The third aspect of the 'Sexual Desire' concept is the 'Delicious Shower' cream that was formulated with a mix of hot pepper and saffron extracts that are said to arouse both the male and female senses for 'the final embrace'.
Its waxy formula is said to impart long lasting massage properties, and intense hydration with its cleaning texture becoming milky with water contact - while the peppery, spicy fragrance generates aphrodisiac qualities and arouses the senses.
The In-Cosmetics In focus feature was announced earlier this year and is designed to generate food for thought and marketing concepts from industry insiders on exploring and stimulating sexual desire within the beauty industry.
- a concept Greentech and Stand Cosmetics have taken into their new range.
"The goal of in-focus Aphrodisia is not so much about following a trend, but to revisit and reinvent the erotic nature of cosmetics and reaffirm their function beyond the pursuit of wellbeing (through toiletries and spa) and health (through nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals)," a conference spokesperson said.
