Airlessystems launches men's skincare packaging

France-based Airlessystems has launched a new line of airless packaging for the growing men's skin care market. The Titan range has been built around the concept of airtight packaging, thus preserving the efficacy of cosmetic products.

Airlessystems says the new packaging range has been designed according to both masculine and ergonomic principles in three sizes: 30, 50 and 75 ml. Furthermore, the airless design of the packaging system means that it can be dispensed in any position - even upside-down.

The company says that the range has been developed to cater to the growing demands for male skin care ranges. According to the company many men are still having to use cosmetics that use packaging originally designed for the female market, because the market lacks suitable designs.

But because men's skin differs from women's skin, the products differ greatly in formulation. In fact, men's skin care products often include more complex formulations that cater to the thicker skin dermis as well as problems associated with daily shaving.

The company says that its Titan range responds to these individual requirements, differentiating the male skin care products and taking into account the fact that the formulations are more complicated.

Because the range incorporates the company's new piston pack, it prevents air entering the packaging, protecting the formulation from oxidation and sunlight. The packaging also includes the Evolution pump, to dispense highly viscous emulsions of up to 60,000 cps.

The packaging is also said to be ideal for filling at high speed and because the pump, collar and cap as well as the body, piston and base are delivered in two ready-assembled parts, more time can also be saved during the manufacturing process.

The line has been developed for balm, cleansing gel, after-shave lotion, face care, body care and wrinkle care applications.
