"We're very excited about this acquisition because it opens new doors for Polysciences. Besides expanding our contract manufacturing resources, it gives us the opportunity to leverage Dream's specialised technology and to become a full-line supplier to the cosmetic and personal care industries," said president of Polysciences Michael Ott.
Polysciences - a manufacturer of laboratory products and specialty monomers/polymers for microscopy, biotechnology and other industrial applications - is one of the few US companies that has the resources to develop ultra-pure specialty chemicals for the cosmetic industry alongside the capability to manufacture and package private-label personal care products.
The company formulates and manufacturers gels, powders, pastes, and high or low viscosity liquids in volumes ranging from 1 gram to thousands of litres. Polysciences is also equipped to package products in standard glass or plastic bottles, custom containers, tubes, towelettes and flame sealed ampoules.
Dream Cosmetics develops colour cosmetic formulations and manufactures colour cosmetics to specification. Based in the US the company formulates and manufactures eye care, lip care and other cosmetics, as well as skin care and other personal care products.
Dream Cosmetics' colour matching, mixing and grinding capabilities also enables it to produce very specialised private label cosmetics. The company houses a research lab and custom-made manufacturing equipment for the mixing, molding and filling of hot pour cosmetics.
Polysciences is a FDA facility for the manufacture and packaging of ultra-pure specialty products for the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries.
