The award, launched in association with research firm Organic Monitor, will honour a raw cosmetics material or ingredient that has made a ‘significant environmental or social difference’, specifically in the area of sustainability.
In order to be considered for the award, any nominated ingredient or material must have been launched within the last three years and be in current use in a cosmetics product.
The winning material or ingredient will have had a demonstrable positive environmental or social difference.
“The industry as a whole is dedicated to becoming more sustainable and we’re delighted that Organic Monitor has partnered with us to highlight the work being done to achieve this,” said Cathy Laporte, Exhibition Manager for the show.
The award winner will be announced at the in-cosmetics award ceremony on Wednesday 2nd April in Hamburg.
Applications must be made here by 3 March.
